Purchasing PC Otome Games with Benefits from Amazon Japan (WARNING!)

I purchased RE:BIRTHDAY Song, a shinigami kareshi (Soul Reaper or Death god boyfriend) themed Otome game. I heard it was going to have a patch soon so I thought, hey! Why not buy some more Otome games so I can keep supporting the industry? So off I went and checked the game if it was at Amazon JP as the game is old and I’d rather get it fast.

Anyways, while I was looking through the listings… there was a Regular Edition, First Press Limited Edition and First Press Limited Edition with Amazon Tokutens (benefits, in other words).

During that time though, I was kinda out of it since I looked at the listing at 6AM and just took a peek at the Regular Edition and the First Press LE with Amazon benefits. I was like OH WHY NOT~ How about I get the LE which has more shit and get the set of 2 large bromides too!

This was what the LE was supposed to come with :

Amazon Original Tokuten :

English Translation courtesy of Google Translate :

★ First Press Limited Edition
1 Normal Version Game Software
2 Setting information collection
3 Drama CD “The Death God of Death”
A drama CD that depicts a sweet moment with a character connected by a game.

★ Amazon Original Benefit
Large format bromide set of 2 L size using CG stills!

Anyways, this package was kinda cursed from the get go lol. I’ve had problems with the shipping address Amazon JP sent it as (AGAIN, their fault for constantly typing in the wrong address even though all they have to do is check my damn account for the right address) and problems with DHL. It was nothing major but it was still annoying to deal with.

Anyways, once that got fixed – all I had to do was wait for my package. Finally, it arrived some time ago. I opened it in a hurry and I was like… huh? Is.. this really it? Are you serious?? This tiny ass box? I had to cross check the sticker code on the outer plastic packaging and made sure this really was the Limited Edition game that I ordered.

And then it dawned on me that the 1, 2 and 3 numbers on that description is not that I was getting 3 Drama CDs, 1 Game CD and 2 booklets! I was very tempted to bash my head against the wall (don’t worry, just an exaggeration haha) for not looking at it in Japanese first THEN got it translated on Google. Anyway, I was like okay – fair enough…. but.. where the hell’s my supposed “Large format bromide set of 2 L size using CG stills!” Amazon original benefits?!

I contacted Customer Service to let them know this and so they told me it would take up to 5 business days to investigate this issue apparently. So I was like okay.. wtv. They got back to me only today to let me know that apparently, the one who packed my parcel took it upon themselves and removed the bromides…! LOL ‘Cos apparentlyyy they can’t ship the bromides internationally or some BS. If they’re not allowed to ship it internationally, then why the hell are you putting this up for sale for International Customers to purchase??

Next time, please put a hold on the damn order and ASK YOUR CUSTOMER if they still want the effin’ item if something happens to be missing! If they had told me this, I could have purchased the LE without the original Amazon benefits for half the price! YES! HALF THE PRICE….! I paid around 5,000 Yen more to get that damn LE + benefits which is over $50 USD!! *cries* _(」∠ 、ン、)_ Though to be honest, I didn’t even know that the 4,800 Yen price tag was for the LE. I thought it was for the basic game… or seriously, I have no idea why I didn’t check all the listings okay! It’s hidden and you have to click on each price to see what it’s for. Normally the lowest price is just for the game so I didn’t bother looking at it I guess…. I was tired okay?! ;3; ahaha.. I’m not THAT desperate to get bromides for that much more of course…. but, they didn’t need to know that.

So they were like.. I’m sorry for the inconvenience!~ But how about we give you a 1,000 Yen coupon then!!~ And seriously, I was this close to saying something like, “(Smile) Oh my!~~ A 1,000 Yen coupon…? Awwww… Well! You shouldn’t have!~~ Well in that case, how about you take that coupon and shove it up your– (censored)”.

Anyways… it seems like they gave me a choice of : The coupon OR if I want the bromides, I’d have to get it sent domestically within Japan. I have no choice but to obviously get it sent to Tenso. So… now I have to pay even more money to get this to me. Arggg!!

TL;DR for this is that DON’T purchase anything from AmazonJP that includes “Amazon Original Benefits” unless you seriously don’t mind risking that you might potentially NOT receive it. You should always check the other listings first and only buy it as a last resort if there’s absolutely nowhere else you can buy it from. Heck, even used & most likely even complete sets at Yahoo!Japan are starting to sound way more appealing to me despite the wait now.

Dangerous Seduction : Yasumi Arimura Walkthrough

Company : Voltage
Game Title : Dangerous Seduction
Character : Yasumi Arimura
Spoilers : Yes.

Description : The genius and abrasive hacker romantic interest. He’s quite prickly but gradually warms up to you (don’t they all? haha). Just to let you know, he’s nothing like Takuto of Love Letter from Thief X so don’t go buying this route thinking they’d be similar, haha. Walkthrough for 707’s route from Day 1 to 11 – Mystic Messenger [Luciel, Seven]

Overview : Okay! MAN! I had to replay 7’s route to make this walkthrough. It took 2x or 3x as long as I would have just played it normally. I know I missed some parts where I should have indicated where the game branched off and where the player needed to spend 50 hourglasses, but oh well. I think I estimate to have used 300-400 hourglasses in total? There were around 3 times where I just let it load though but I think in the end I still paid for most of it now that I think about it (or might be even more in the long run) since it takes 5 hourglasses to unlock each chat that I missed, LOL.

Please read first :

  • Do not combine with other walkthroughs. You have to use this from the beginning or I can’t guarantee that you will get the good ending.
  • I may have most likely missed some stuff or have typos. Please bear with them as I slowly fix them over time. ^ ^; I know there are text message answers missing from some days. I will add them later when I have time.
  • I will not entertain comments that question why I chose a certain option. Some of them I chose on purpose as I needed it for my call or chat history log.
  • Be prepared for the characters reacting more hostile with you because I chose some really strange answers, LOL! I made MC-chan sound like she has lost her marbles from her crazy mood swings. Ah… the things I do to get as much phone and chat histories. Also, sometimes I do it on purpose to balance out the amount of affection I think I had with each character.
  • I broke a lot of hearts along the way and yet I still got the good ending, which proved my theory of it being okay to be breaking hearts as long as you balance it out (which I think I did or at least I tried to).
  • I didn’t use any other walkthroughs whatsoever even from when I first played and of course in this one as well. So I cannot answer anything if it’s not something I’ve done here. ^ ^; And even then, I hope I can remember so I can answer your question, LOL. Don’t be afraid to ask anyways just in case I could.

Diabolik Lovers (More Blood) : Shu and Subaru Sakamaki

Well, I got this game sometime ago and honestly I have a hard time even going through it, lol. I decided to play Shu first as he’s supposedly my favorite but having played his entire route – I’m honestly quite disappointed. x_x I really feel for the angsty parts of his route but there really wasn’t all that much to it in the end. I couldn’t really connect to Shu and Edgar/Yuma when they were kids and I just found myself speeding through it every time there’s a flashback. I seriously wanted to like it. I really did. It just wasn’t happening, lol. One thing’s for sure though is that I really love Shu’s voice. (*゚ロ゚) That was the only solace for his route.

Oh also, one nice thing about Shu’s route is that he wasn’t so back and forth with his decisions. Once he decides on something then that’s it. He doesn’t keep crapping around and disappearing and whatnot for days on end randomly like what Subaru was doing. Also, he wasn’t nearly as violent as Subaru. There just wasn’t that much happening in his route, that’s all and I just wanted more. To be honest, I didn’t know that the game was mostly full of perverted scenarios of blood sucking and going to school. The only progress in the story that you can get are the monologues, chapters 7 to 10 and the epilogue. All those chapters are very short. I would really love to find an otome game that has a nicer balance of story and pervy stuff. I know people are going to roll their eyes but Voltage INC. at least got that down pat. Even if the route or character turns out shit, the balance is still there.

Sakamaki.Shuu.full.1353560 (1)

Shu is seriously super hot though. Love his character design. (●´□`)♡ The only thing that bothers me the most about it is… why are the ear buds not in the right place?! lol. I don’t understand why it’s drawn so low. I know I’m being nitpicky but I can’t help being bothered by it every time I see his ear. LOL Σ░(꒪◊꒪ )))) Anyways, I still have other routes I should be doing but I don’t know if I can play all of them. I seriously can’t stand Kanato’s screaming. He flips out almost every single time I see him. I already found Subaru way too overbearing in that department so I can’t see how the heck I can handle more childish tantrums, lmao. Not only that, he makes the most unreasonable demands too. I honestly don’t know how anyone can stand it. TL;DR for Shu’s route is that I don’t know if I can even say it’s great in Diabolik Lovers standards, but at least he’s eye candy and his voice is so nice. Same VA for Hajime Saito from Hakuoki too. *sob* I seriously love it too much.

OH LOL! I just remembered one of the endings, I forgot if it was Manservant or Brute but OMG when the MC knocked him out, it was hilarious as fuck, LOL! I was laughing so much. It was a fitting ending though actually if the MC is way too sadistic, ahaha! (*・▽・*) I recommend you to do that ending as it gave me something to laugh at after, lmao. If any ending was worth doing, it would be that one for Shu’s route. Though maybe there’s something wrong here if I’m playing a Do-M game and I enjoyed the Do-S route, LOL! (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑ Bahaha! I am so evil.

Hmm… Where should I start with Subaru? Uhhh.. Okay. I have to say that in the very depths of his heart, I suppose you can find some gentleness and kindness in there. But shit, this guy was seriously way too violent. I had the impression he only smashed walls and broke things but he was actually fucking violent towards the MC! Nothing life threatening of course and I understand what he was trying to do (dissuade her from going near him or being with him out of fear that he might end up killing her). But fuck, seriously, this guy is not THAT much better than anyone else in the Sakamaki house. The only reason I was still able to finish the route was that he really was trying regardless of how violent he was being. However, all that constant shouting and screaming every time I see him was getting really annoying. Not only that, he was so indecisive that it was driving me insane. ( ಠ .ಠ ) I understand how he was in such turmoil over what he went through with his mom but seriously?

Anyway, the only thing I liked about this route was the ending. The guy finally manned up and stopped running away from every single thing and decided to face shit. It was really nice to see his mom apologizing in the end and that alone was way more feels than I ever got from Shu’s route. OH! Also, what the fuck is with all those slurping sounds when he drinks the MC’s blood! What. the. fuck. LOL! ( •᷄⌓•᷅ ) He seriously sounds like he’s sucking it up like soup or some shit. When I first heard it I was like – Uh.. are you for real?! Are you seriously for real?! I have to listen to this slurping for the entire route? Haaaaaaa… fine. *sob* I have to say that despite all this, Subaru is definitely the sweetest one so far and you can tell he was trying really hard to stop being so violent towards the end and that he actually even feels bad about it. Anyway, after all that drama, there’s still light at the end of the tunnel with this guy at least. ヽ(。_°)ノ TL;DR for Subaru’s route is that just be prepared with how violent he’s going to be. Be patient and I guess you will get rewarded for it in the end, lol. He seems to be the most loyal and sweet so far. I can’t say anything about the Mukami’s yet though just to let you know as I haven’t interacted with them much yet.

Mystic Messenger VIP Package

I’m sorry. I will no longer answer questions about Mystic Messenger. I’ve already answered a lot and I think most of the major ones have already been asked by someone else. Please take a look at the comments. Thank you for visiting my blog and good luck with the game.~

OMG IT IS FINALLY HERE!! I am SO glad I opted to get the EMS option as it ensured that I was going to get the package before the dreaded Canada Post lock down. However, with how much the game’s release keeps getting pushed back, chances are it might not even have mattered much if I had gotten it a bit later. I took a bunch of opening box photos just to commemorate its arrival. 😀 I am really happy I got the package to be honest. At least I will forever have memories of this game even after many years to come.

Anyways, sadly for Android users, the game has yet again been pushed back. Some of them must be extremely frustrated by now as it’s been pushed back quite a few times already. They said there’s some problems with the programming that they need to fix. They’re hoping to release it on the 7th KST. Hopefully it’s something they can fix by then. People are probably super antsy by now. I sent a message to Cheritz on Tumblr but now I know the answer to my question after reading their post again and because I tried to see if I can register my account. Only to realize I need to make a game ID with the app (which isn’t released or approved yet for the App store) first before I can activate VIP privileges. So I can’t get that free +50 hourglasses that they’re getting today, lol. Hopefully there’s no problem with the iPhone version and it will be released as scheduled within their estimate of 2 weeks. I’m really hoping Apple will approve it within a week. It’s been absolute torture waiting for this game. T__T ahahah Yep, I’m an impatient idiot, LOL!

Here’s the opening box pics! Can you feel my excitement through these photos? LOL! Sorry for the shitty Phone camera photos. TvT Was too lazy to take my DSLR out. More photos underneath the cut. Click on (MORE…) underneath this photo to see the rest of them.
